#TeamCOPEG at the 42nd National Livestock Congress

On August 17 and 18, the #TeamCOPEG had the privilege of participating in the much-anticipated 42nd National Livestock Congress, held at the Carolina Convention Center in the province of Los Santos. Under the theme “Profitability in Cattle Enterprises in the Face of Climate Change,” the event served as a key gathering point for the livestock sector.

The main objective of the congress was to communicate the importance of profitability in livestock businesses and how to assess investments amid the implementation of new techniques and production processes promoted regionally. This focus was addressed while maintaining a strong emphasis on animal welfare and ecosystem protection, highlighting both ethics and resilience.

Emphasizing the international scope of the event, participants had the opportunity to attend keynote lectures by experts from Nicaragua, Colombia, and Costa Rica. These presentations, supported by high-quality materials and videos provided by the specialists, explored topics such as artificial intelligence applied to livestock farming, and innovations in technology, products, machinery, and financing options in the industry.

Within this setting, the COPEG stand stood out as usual, drawing the attention of national and international producers, as well as industry professionals. Notably, we were honored by the visit of prominent national authorities, including the President of the Republic of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen.

This congress not only provided a platform for networking within the livestock sector but also served to highlight COPEG’s relevance and leadership, reinforcing its commitment and presence at high-profile industry events.
